Doris Ann Wineinger, 68 taught school in C'ville
Doris Ann Wineinger, 68, of Crothersville died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Rev. Jon Pearce conducted funeral services Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory in Crothersville with burial following at Uniontown Cemetery.
Mrs. Wineinger graduated from Paoli High School in 1967 and from Indiana State in 1972. She was a school teacher at Crothersville Community Schools for 39 years and retired in 2011. She attended First Baptist Church of Crothersville, was a member of the Retired Teachers' Association, enjoyed crocheting, and having fun gambling on the boat.
Born June 11, 1949 in Paoli, Mrs. Wineinger was the daughter of Duane Howard Chastain and Dorothy Mae Alford Chastain. On December 22, 1972, in French Lick, she married Harold Leon Wineinger who died August 10, 2011.
Survivors include her children, Denise Wade (Tony Penrose) of Crothersville and Harold (Winona) Wineinger Jr. of Sellersburg; grandchildren, Chelsea Tice of Crothersville, Levi Wade of Crothersville, and Tyler Branham of Edinburgh; and two great-grandsons; siblings, Diane (Larry) Phillips of Paoli, Debbie (Tim) Banet of Floyds Knobs, and Terry Chastain of Cub Run, Kentucky.
Mrs. Wineinger was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wineinger and a brother, Don Chastain.
Memorial donations may be given to Ovarian Cancer Research or Uniontown Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
