Marjorie Emma Harmon, 92, of North Vernon died at 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Hickory Creek at Columbus.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday, May 22, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.
Mrs. Harmon was a 1943 graduate of Paris Crossing High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for the former Vernon Summer Furniture Factory in Vernon for 10 years. She was a member of Tea Creek Baptist Church in Lovett. Mrs. Harmon enjoyed crocheting Afghans, and baking cakes and pies.
Born November 8, 1924, in Scott County, Mrs. Harmon was the daughter of Clyde and Ethel Weeks Crane. She married Oscar Nelson Harmon July 19, 1946 in North Vernon and he preceded her in death in 1977.
Survivors include sons, Robert (Delma) Harmon of Columbus, and Larry (Susan) and Stanley (Lesha) Harmon, both of North Vernon, and Mike (Marie) Harmon of Seymour; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchil- dren.
Mrs. Harmon was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Lester, Lloyd, and Virgil Crane; and sister, Ruth Harmon.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association and Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
