Kenneth Dale Perry, 83, of Brownstown died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at Schneck Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with Pastor Michael Hogg officiating. Burial will beat Uniontown Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Friday, May 19, 2017, at the funeral home.
Mr. Perry retired from the Indiana Department of Highways after 25 years. He then worked 30 years for Spray Sand and Gravel as a heavy equipment operator and was a part-time employee for Lee's Gravel Pit. He enjoyed planting a garden, fishing, talking, telling stories, playing with his grandkids and working on small engines and cars. Mr. Perry was a member of Brownstown Church of Christ.
Born August 5, 1933, Mr. Perry was the son of Therman and Berdie Mae Young Perry. On April 11, 1992, he married Delorice F. Dodd Nantz Perry, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Kenny Lee (Romy) Perry of Seymour; daughters, Brenda (Ed) Brumett of Crothersville and Mary (Jerry) Hodge of Scottsburg; stepson, Sonny J. Nantz of Seymour; sister, Anna Bell Dart of Crothersville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; and four great-step-grandchildren.
Mr. Perry was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Mickey Perry; grandson, Jason Foster; great-granddaughter, Amy Young; stepdaughter, Dellia Fay Nantz; stepson, Olen Nantz; four brothers; and six sisters.
