Thomas W. Tertocha, 75 was a native of Illinois
Thomas William Tertocha, 75, of Elizabethtown died at 4:15 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clifty with Pastor Doug Bauman officiating. Calling hours will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the church. Burial will follow at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Tertocha was a 1959 graduate of Eisenhower High School, Decatur, Illinois. He worked at Golden Castings in Columbus as machine maintenance and Nachi Technology in Greenwood, from 2003 until his retirement in 2011. He also ran his own fabrication business. Mr. Tertocha attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clifty and enjoyed fishing, feeding the birds and card games with his friends.
Born November 16, 1941, in Decatur, Illinois, Mr. Tertocha Ralph Robert Tertocha and Katherine Harshbarger Tertocha. He married Gayle Chapman January 25, 1969, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, Decatur, Illinois.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Christine (Steve) Burton; son, Robert (Ronda Thompson) Tertocha; grandchildren, Taylor and Gabriel Tertocha and Dakota Thompson; and a sister, Sylvia (Larry) German of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jodi Tertocha Luckinbill and Janice Tertocha Meredith; and a brother, James Tertocha of Decatur, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clifty or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
