John K. Gee, 63, enjoyed a most interesting career
John K. Gee, 63, of Fishers died at 12:17 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Allisonville Meadows in Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. The Rev. Ron Bridgewater will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of services, Monday, April 17, 2017.
Mr. Gee attended Butlerville Elementary and was a 1971 graduate of Jennings County High School. He attended Purdue University School of Civil Engineering from 1971-1974 and graduated from IUPUI in 1991. Mr. Gee worked in the industrial chimney industry as a field engineer, for INDOT as an eminent domain appraiser, and retired from Veterans Affairs in 2002. He enjoyed studying, reading, and appraising real estate for his own consulting and appraising business. He also taught real estate and real estate appraising for Ivy Tech from 1996 to 2002.
Born September 17, 1953, in Seymour, Mr. Gee was the son of Joseph D. and Kathleen Bower Gee.
Survivors include a daughter, Meryl Ann (Matt) Walls of Indianapolis; brothers, Michael (Melodie) Gee of Columbus, Ohio, Jim (Guy) Gee of Cathedral City, California, and Jeff (Diana) Gee of North Vernon; and a sister, Carrie J. Gee of Madison Lake, Minnesota.
Mr. Gee was preceded in death by his parents.
