Verna Jean Mosier, 56, of NV interred at Versailles
Verna Jean Mosier, 56, of North Vernon died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at her home in North Vernon.
Graveside services were Saturday at Tanglewood Cemetery in Versailles with the Rev. Edward Wooddell officiating.
Mrs. Mosier, a 1976 graduate of South Ripley High School, was formerly employed at the Silver Bell Nursing Facility in Versailles and was a member of Christ Baptist Church in North Vernon and the Coffee Creek Conservation Club in Commiskey. She enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, and flowers.
Born April 28, 1958, in Greensburg, Mrs. Mosier was the daughter of Larkin and Margaret Gray Hinkle. She married Abraham Mosier June 9, 2003, in Bedford, Kentucky. He survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, T.J. (Kelly) Garris of North Vernon; a stepson, Abe L. (Gail) Mosier of Osgood; stepdaughters, Holly Hooten of Osgood and Jodi Jawad of Westchester, Ohio; brother, Ronnie (Tammy) Spurlock of Versailles; sisters, Marilyn and Carolyn Spurlock of Ohio and Trudy (Mike) Thomas of North Carolina; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Mosier was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be given to Christ Baptist Church in North Vernon through the funeral home.
