Theda Lavora Potter Seal, 77, of Vevay died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at her residence.
Funeral services were Saturday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial was at Greendale Cemetery.
Mrs. Seal, a resident of Switzerland County since 1972, was raised and attended school in Floyd County, Kentucky. She had been employed on the assembly line for Campbell Hausfeld in Harrison, Ohio and also worked for several years as a waitress for Frisch's Restaurant and a restaurant in East Enter-prise. Mrs. Seal liked to can, sew, work puzzles and crochet and enjoyed owls.
Born January 9, 1937, in Floyd County, Kentucky, Mrs. Seal was the daughter of Carl and Dallie Gibson Potter. She married Edward James Seal November 30, 1950, and he preceded her in death October 16, 1976.
Survivors include sons, Larry Lusby of Brookville, Rick Seal of Madison, Jerry Seal of Vevay, Randy Seal of Holton, and Todd Seal of Charlestown; daughter, Debbie White of Moores Hill; sisters, Madge Chambers and Barbara Murphy, both of Batavia, Ohio, and Sue Claxton of Bennington; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to parents and husband, Mrs. Seal was preceded in death by a son, James D. Seal; companion, Harlan "Jack" Scudder; and a brother, Clyde Potter.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
