Kenneth Ray Cosby, 72 laid to rest at Springdale
Kenneth Ray "Kenny" Cosby, 72, of Madison, died at his home Wednesday, July, 9, 2014, at 2:30 p.m.
Funeral services were Saturday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Rev. Robert Bass officiating. Burial was in Springdale Cemetery.
Mr. Cosby retired from Rexnord-Envirex in 2006. He attended Broadway Second Baptist Church in Madison. He was a member of the Catfish Masters and enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, playing in a band, watching IU and the Cardinals playing basketball, socializing, and spending time with family.
Born October 20, 1941, in Madison, Mr. Cosby was the son of James E. and Hazel L. Watson Cosby. He married Pearl Ester Perry and she preceded him in death May 3, 1990.
Survivors include a son, Chester (Toni) Moody of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Sarah (Dwayne) Richardson of Warsaw, Kentucky; granddaughter, Janelle Moody; great-granddaughter, Lacya Maxey; sister, Faye (William) Taylor of Louisville, Kentucky; and brothers, James Cosby of Wabash, and Thomas, Jeff (Dianne), Steve "Bill," and Marvin (Mindy) Cosby, all of Madison.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Cosby was preceded in death by a companion, Brenda Carol Rowlett; granddaughter, Lyric Nichole Richardson; and sisters, Bonita "Bonnie" Malone and Vanessa Tyree.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity through the funeral home.
