Fannie Neva Hamilton lived to be 100 years old
Fannie Neva Manville Hamilton, 100, of Madison died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 3:45 p.m. at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Rev. Dennis Ingle officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Halls Ridge near Canaan.
Mrs. Hamilton was a 1931 graduate of North Madison High School. She had worked at the W.A. Barber Grocery in Madison and was a member of the North United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Hamilton enjoyed gardening, bowling, church activities and was active in the Martha's Missionary Circle of the church.
Born December 18, 1913, in Canaan, Mrs. Hamilton was the daughter of Hugh L. and Cora Risk Manville. She married Harvey W. Hamilton on April 20, 1940 in Madison. He preceded her in death November 25, 2001.
Survivors include a son, Dan (Joan) Hamilton of Madison.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy McClure and Helen Leach.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison Consolidated High School Class of 1966 Scholarship Fund in care of the Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County through the funeral home.
