Tina Renee K. Harrod fatally hurt in accident
Tina Renee Keith Harrod, 46, of Madison died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at 4:12 a.m. in Madison in a hit and run accident.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Pastor Dennis Bickers officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Vevay Cemetery in Vevay.
Ms. Harrod was a 1985 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and had worked as a certified optometry assistant at Madison Vision Clinic and then Taustine Eye Center. She attended Hebron Baptist Church and Madison Assembly of God. She was a member of Jefferson Post 9 Auxiliary of the American Legion. Ms. Harrod enjoyed watching basketball, especially the Louisville Cardinals. She enjoyed animals, going to the beach, and socializing with friends.
Born June 21, 1967, in Madison, Mrs. Harrod was the daughter of Doug Keith and Debby Leap Barnes.
Survivors include a son, Airman First Class Skyler Neal Harrod of Yokota Air Base, Japan; father, Douglas (Sandy Wiess) of Rising Sun; mother and stepfather, Debby (Gerald) Barnes of Dupont; brother, Brian Broad of Madison; sister, Ragen (Jason) Bentz of Dupont; half-brothers, Casey (Alisa) Keith of Rising Sun and Kory (Julie) Keith of Orlando, Florida; and stepsisters, Lisa (Tony) Schafer of Madison and Shellie (Eric) Hobson of Nineveh.
Ms. Harrod was preceded in death by grandparents, Abbie and Marjorie Bowin Leap and Neil and Luvenia Keith.
Memorial contributions to Jefferson County Animal Shelter or North United Methodist Church Youth through the home.
