Juanita F.J. Vice, 84, enjoyed family activities
Juanita F. (Johnson) Vice, 84, of Seymour died at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at her home.
Chaplin Steve Barrett will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crothersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Vice had been employed at the former U.S. Shoe Corp. and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Hayden. She enjoyed being a homemaker, baking, cooking, being outdoors, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, and spending time with her family.
Born August 7, 1929 in Jennings County, Mrs. Vice was the daughter of Paul S. and Myrtle (Ross) Johnson. On February 21, 1969, in Seymour, she married Paul W. Vice who survives in Seymour.
Other survivors include, children, Mike D. (Joanne) Cathcart of Retreat, Diane Hill of Crothersville, Arthur ìButchî (Audi) Cathcart of Indianapolis, Patty Webster, Kathy Mellencamp, Paul A. (Debbie) Vice, Tracy (Tom) Allman, and Sherrie Cathcart Acton, all of Seymour, and Wayne (Rob Phillips) Vice of Indianapolis; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Bernard (Joanne) Johnson of Ft. Myers, Florida and William Johnson of Arizona; sister, Carolyn Ruddick of Seymour; half-brother, Paul L. Johnson Jr. of Columbus; and a stepsister, Dorothy (Marion) Rice of Jennings County.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vice was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Clifford Bibb.
Memorial donations may be given to Schneck Hospice or Crothersville Cemetery through the funeral home.
