Frank E. Harris, Jr., 60 a retiree of state hospital
Frank E. Harris Jr., 60, of Butlerville died Friday, April 18, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Raymond Spicer will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
Mr. Harris retired from Muscatatuck State Developmental Center where he had worked as an electrician. He was a member of ABATE for 28 years where he formerly served as the county and Linc representative for ABATE. He was also a member of Sons of AmVets where he had served as commander, and was a member of the Eagles. Mr. Harris enjoyed riding motorcycles from coast to coast, collecting coins, and playing cards.
Born November 29, 1953 at Camp Atterbury, Mr. Harris was the son of Frank E. and Martha E. Dwenger Harris.
He is survived by two sons, Shawn (Lisa) Harris of Butlerville and Chad Harris of Boston, Massachusetts; brothers, Richard (Judy) and Kenneth (Barb) Harris, both of Butlerville, Lawrence (Michelle) Harris of Columbus, and Greg (Peggy) Harris of North Vernon; sister, Cindy (Ivan) Waltermire of Butlerville; grandchildren, Toby Harris, and Dustin and Jordan Gray; and great-grandchildren, Zoie, Arydessa, and Devin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Juanita Harris.
