Earl D. Miracle, 89, of Seymour died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel in Seymour Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Larry Tingle officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Born February 28, 1925, in Harlan County, Kentucky, Mr. Miracle was the son of Lee Edward and Mary (Purciful) Miracle. On December 16, 1942, in Harlan, Kentucky he married Alice N. Nolan who preceded him in death February 9, 2014.
Mr. Miracle was a member of First Baptist Church in Seymour. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Arvin Industries. Mr. Miracle was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge # 146, F. & A.M.
Survivors include his children, Brenda G. (Ron) Byrley and Delores F. (Gerald W.) Ault; grandchildren, Amy M. Hancock and Jeremy D. (Emma) and Nathan G. (Jenny) Ault; and great-grandchildren, Arlo M., Wiley M., Amber V., and Aiden M. Ault.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brother, Ray D. Miracle, and sister, Juanita Lester.
