William Lee Bolden, 72 a Golden Foundry retiree

William Lee "Wee Wee" Bolden, 72, of North Vernon died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Dale Boyd officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery with military graveside services by members of Matt Hester Post #2021, V.F.W. and the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Mr. Bolden, a 1960 graduate of North Vernon High School, worked as a forklift operator for Golden Casting in Columbus for 36 years. He had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964. Mr. Bolden enjoyed watching football, basketball especially Indiana University, going to the gambling boats, talking to his family and friends and getting to play and spending time with his granddaughter, Trinity.

Born June 22, 1941 in Jennings County, Mr. Bolden was the son of Percy and Hazel Goode Bolden. He married Sylvia Diane Chittum on February 23, 1985 in Jennings County. She survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Tyrone Green of North Vernon; daughter, Mary Rochelle Gates of San Francisco, California; stepson, Jay Wayne Brooks of Columbus; stepdaughters, Lauri Combest and Mari Garrett, both of North Vernon, and Lezlie Corya of Commiskey; sisters, Clara Mae Staten and Dorothy Cooper, both of North Vernon; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bolden was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tyrone Bolden; three brothers, George, Don and Ray Bolden; and two sisters, Betty Washington and Rosemary Bolden.
