Braylen Lee Hawkins, 21 laid to rest near Chelsea
Braylen Lee Hawkins, 21, of Lexington, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
Funeral services were Saturday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Bro. Dan Corbin officiating. Burial was at New Bethel Cemetery near Chelsea.
Mr. Hawkins lived his entire life in Jefferson County and had attended Southwestern School System before being home schooled. He enjoyed playing with his toys and making happy sounds.
Born September 1, 1992 in Madison, Mr. Hawkins was the son of Joey L. Hawkins and Rebecca J. Caldwell Sizemore.
Survivors include his maternal grandmother, Sandra K. Jackson Williams of Lexington; mother and her husband, Perry, of Lexington; half-sister, Sierra Sizemore of Lexington; stepsisters, Samantha Sizemore of Lexington and Ashley Sizemore of Premium, Kentucky; stepbrother, Douglas Sizemore of Lexington; father, Joey L. Hawkins of Madison; paternal grandparents, Ron and Shirley Dierkes of Madison; and maternal grandfather, James (Lois) Caldwell of Mansfield, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Boyce "Pooge" and Daisy Jackson.
The family requests memorials be made to the Braylen Lee Hawkins Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
