Diana Lynn Ayler Smith, 59

Diana Lynn Ayler Smith to be laid to rest Friday

Diana Lynn Ayler Smith, 59, of Madison died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014, in Madison.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the North Madison Christian Church in Madison with Bro. George A. Severn officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison and Saturday form 9 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery near Moorefield.

Mrs. Smith was a 1972 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She had been employed at Home Federal then Madison First Federal banks. Later she worked for Robus Leather and lastly for Security Insurance in Madison as an agent. Mrs. Smith was a member of Manville Christian Church and enjoyed working with the public. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, flowers, and playing golf.

Born May 16, 1954 in Jefferson County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Joseph Earl and Norma Jean Adams Ayler. She married David Smith on July 14, 1973, and he survives.

Other survivors include her mother of Madison; two daughters, Dana (Brian) Boggs of Lexington and Dari Ann (Bobby) O'Brien of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Jenna Boggs and Olivia O'Brien; step-granddaughters, Morgan O'Brien; step-grandson, Bailey O'Brien; brothers, Fred (Sondra) Ayler and Joe Dale (Pondra) Ayler, all of Manville, and George (Debbie) Ayler of Madison; and sisters, Madeline (Jim) Richardville of China and Alice (Mike) Cyrus of Madison.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Harold William "Bill" Ayler.

The family requests be made through the funeral home to the ALS Association of Kentucky, the Manville Christian Church or Hospice of King's Daughters' Hospital..
