Virgie Ellen May Perry collected baskets, clocks
Virgie Ellen May Perry, 74, of Hanover died at 4:52 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Rev. Richard McDole officiating. Calling will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky.
Mrs. Perry resided in Jefferson County since 1959. She had worked for Conn Organ, Page's Department Store in the jewelry department, the Production Credit Association and River Valley Financial Bank, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed taking care of her family, friends and animals. Mrs. Perry also enjoyed going to flea markets, the boat, quilting, gardening, and collecting baskets and clocks.
Born November 17, 1939 in Trimble County, Kentucky, Mrs. Perry was the daughter of Paul Chester and Eulula Ruth Boldery May. She married David Leroy Perry on June 20, 1959 at the Carrollton Baptist Church. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Ricky D. Perry of Madison; daughter, Gwen M. Perry of Hanover; grandchildren, Samantha F. and Jacklyn L. Perry; great-grandchildren, Shayla F. and Liana B. Perry; and a brother, Don (Sharon) May of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
