Tommy R. Bridges, 77, had owned bar in Crothersville
Tommy R. Bridges, 77, of Crothersville died Saturday morning, January 11, 2014, at his winter home in Haines City, Florida.
The family will celebrate his life with visitation for family and friends at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville from 3 until 5 p.m. Saturday.
Mr. Bridges was a 1954 Crothersville High School graduate and retired from American Can. He had also owned Tommy's Bar in Crothersville. Mr. Bridges enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, and woodworking and was also a sponsor of the Crothersville Little League for 30 years.
Born May 5, 1936 in Crothersville, Mr. Bridges was the son of Harry and Jessy Dee (Nowling) Bridges.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Sherry) Bridges of Crothersville; three daughters, Barbara (Marvin) Owens of Alpine, Tennessee, Tammy (Gary) Lighthiser of Columbus, and Cindy (Jimmy) Haddox of North Vernon; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister Ada Belle Riley of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mildred, Genevieve and Lois; and a granddaughter, Amanda Dee Bridges.
Memorial donations can be given to Crothersville Little League through the funeral home.
