Mary C. Scott Seel, 76 at Madison hospital 37 years
Mary C. Scott Seel, 76, of Madison died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 8:14 p.m. at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Rev. Robert Leach officiating with burial at Brooksburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Seel attended Vevay High School. She was employed at the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Vevay and then worked for a total of 37 years for the Madison State Hospital as a psychiatric attendant. She was a member of the Brooksburg Baptist Church. Mrs. Seel enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising flowers and feeding her hummingbirds.
Born April 25, 1937, in Sanders, Kentucky, Mrs. Seel was the daughter of Howard and Ruby Bales Scott. She married Kenneth Seel on March 7, 1959, at the Ryker's Ridge Baptist Church. He survives.
Other survivors include sons, Troy (Karie) Seel of Madison and Travis Seel of Vevay; grandchildren, Mason, Lukas and James; sisters, Eva (Kenny) McKinley of Hanover and Ruby (Linus) Manuel of Madison.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Seel was preceded in death by sisters, Sarah Virginia Scott, Eunice Sharron, Jennie King Ford, Dora E. Lewis, Nelrose Armstrong Mefford, Nancy Danger and Judy Zearing; and brothers, Martin and Robert Scott.
