Mary Rose F. Summers will to laid to rest Tuesday
Mary Rose Freeman Summers, 65, Hanover, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison with Pastor Troy Hedges officiating. Interment will be at the cemetery.
Mrs. Summers attended school in Jefferson County. She was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church in Bedford, Kentucky and had worked at Old Fort in Cleveland, Tennessee as a cook and in production at Madison Precision. Mrs. Summers enjoyed Computer and video games and being with family.
Born July 20, 1948 in Madison, Mrs. Summers was the daughter of William K. and Rosie Bell Hyden Freeman. She married Edward Summers and he survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Connie (Robert) Smith and Charlotte Newman, all of Hanover; sons, William Basil Newman of Liberty, Kentucky, Kevin and William Matthew Newman, both of Hanover and Tony (Nicki) Newman of Cleveland, Tennessee; brothers, Tony and Charlie Freeman, both of Hanover; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Freeman, Bernice Harmon and Darlene Reed; brothers, William, Ronie, Johnny, Lonie, David, Joe, Stanley, James, Larry, and Ricky Freeman; and daughters, Dee Dee and Diana Newman.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Freeman Summers Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
