Betty J.R. Huddleston, 91 'grandma' to those she knew
Betty J. Roegge Huddleston, 91, of Seymour died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Covered Bridge Health Campus.
Funeral services were Saturday at Central Christian Church Saturday with Pastor Lewis Wright and Pastor David Huddleston officiating.
Mrs. Huddleston was a reading tutor at Emerson Elementary for 30 years. She was a member of Gideon's International, an Elder Emeritus at Central Christian Church, Loyal Devoir, Kiwanis Club and Friends and Neighbors Extension Club. She was known to many as "Grandma Betty" and she loved making chocolate pies and milk shakes.
Born June 7, 1922, in Columbus, Mrs. Huddleston was the daughter of Charles and Martha Weed Roegge. She married Arthur Blake Huddleston and he survives.
Other survivors include children, David (Mary Ellen), Mark (Martha), Wayne (Pam), Paul (Claudia) and Steve (Pam) Huddleston; grandchildren, Chris (Elizabeth), Tim (Cynthia), Dan, Nathan (Deanna), Matthew (Kelly), Jonathan (Adrienne), Jeremy (Crystal), Ryan (Lindsey), Brad (Amanda), and Aaron Huddleston, Heather (Jason) Burns and Lester (Lorraine) Lohr; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Huddleston was preceded in death by her parents and a twin sister, Letty Frazier.
