Suzanne L. Sloan, 64, had deep roots in our country
Suzanne L. Sloan, 64, of Seymour died Wednesday January 1, 2014 at Schneck Medical Center.
Funeral services were at Marengo Christian Church Saturday with Rev. Bill Weaver officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Marengo Cemetery. Voss Funeral Service in Seymour was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sloan was cafeteria manager at Redding Elementary School for 15 years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Crawford County Genealogy, Marengo Christian Church, Seymour Christian Church, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed traveling, genealogy, Crawford County history, shopping, playing cards, and attending her grandchildren's events.
Survivors include daughters, Angie (Curtis) Klakamp and Erin (Eric) Darlage; grandchildren, Sophie Klakamp and Aiden Darlage; brothers, John William (Lori) Key and Michael Raymond (Teresa) Key.
Born April 4, 1949 in Watseka, Illinois, Mrs. Sloan was the daughter of Howard Raymond and Juneth (McMahel) Key. On June 1, 1969 in Marengo, she married Danny Michael Sloan who survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
