Jerry Wayne Brashear was native of Kentucky
Jerry Wayne Brashear, Sr., 57, of North Vernon died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Dale Boyd officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Shelby Christian Church Cemetery in Ripley County.
Mr. Brashear was a Union Roofer for 30 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1975. He attended the former New Marion High School in Ripley County. Mr. Brashear enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing corn hole and spending time with his family.
Born January 3, 1956 in Hazard, Kentucky, Mr. Brashear was the son of Edward Bernard and Betty Branson Brashear.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Wayne, Jr., Travis Michael (Sheena Perry) and Codi Dale Brashear all of Butlerville; daughter, Ashley (Andrew) Spicer of Vernon; brother, Allen Brashear of San Jacinto; sisters, Jean Riordan of North Vernon and Stacey (Greg) Box of Westport; four grandchildren, Brooklyne and Brayden Brashear, Payton Perry and Bailey Ritz all of Butlerville.
Mr. Brashear was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dale Brashear; and two nephews, Seth Box and Timothy Brashear.
