James Edward Benham had worked as a logger
James Edward Benham, 79, of Greensburg died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg.
Funeral services were held Monday at DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro with Rev. Eugene Bustle officiating. Burial was at the Benham Cemetery.
Mr. Benham served his country during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a logger for many years.
Born October 16, 1934 in Decatur County, Mr. Benham was the son of Chauncey "Bud" Benham and Ruth Powers Benham.
Survivors include two daughters, Candice Woodward and Cassandra Lightner, both of Indianapolis; several grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Benham of Nebraska and David Benham of Osgood; four sisters, Helena Fruchtnicht of Napoleon, Lois Jean Arthur of North Vernon, Phyllis Wynn of Oklahoma, and Pamela Hall of Osgood.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Edward Benham; a stepson, Robert Moore; five brothers, Robert, Dale, Pete, John, and Victor Benham; and four sisters, Mary, Lillian, Helen, and Betty.
