Margaret Etta Lawler, 90 spent childhood in Vernon
Margaret Etta "Peg" Lawler, 90, of Carmel and formerly of Vernon died at 11:17 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Vernon Cemetery with her son, Scott Lawler, officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Mrs. Lawler was the manager of Woodlawn Spring Manor Apartments in Carmel. She was a 1939 graduate of Vernon High School and she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Born on November 9, 1922 in Vernon, Mrs. Lawler was the daughter of Erwin C. and Mabel L. (Tweedy) Amick, Sr. She married Joseph C. Lawler and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Scott (Angie) Lawler of Carmel and two grandchildren, Alexis Ann Lawler of Carmel and Bradley Scott Lawler of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Erwin Amick, Jr. and Melvin Amick and a sister, Helen Jean Amick Perry.
