Christine Woodard, 82, of S'mour a native of Kent.
Christine Woodard, 82, of Seymour died Sunday morning at her residence.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Voss Chapel in Seymour with Sandy Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Family may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday after 12 noon until time of the service.
Mrs. Woodard had retired after many year of service from the Seymour Community Schools as a custodian at Margaret Brown Elementary School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seymour, a lifetime member of the American Legion, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
Born November 12, 1930 in Sturgeon, Kentucky, Mrs. Woodard was the daughter of Johnnie and Mattie (Ross) Brewer. On October 11, 1969 she married Herb Woodard, who survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include children, Eugene (Sandy) Summer, Verna (Richard) Harder, Teresa Shirley and Brenda Clark; stepdaughter, Rita (Jerry) Davis; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother Verlon (Buster) Brewer.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodard was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
