Warren L. Aldridge, 63 was active in his church
Warren L. Aldridge, 63, of Deputy, died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 8:24 p.m. at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
Funeral services will be Friday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Rev. Aubrey Bessenger officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery near Deputy.
Mr. Aldridge was a 1969 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. He worked with Grote Industries in the tool shop until 1977 and then worked at Kentucky Utilities-Ghent Station as a coal equipment operator retiring in 2000. Mr. Aldridge then worked at Baxter Lumber in Deputy and retired in 2012 from LG&E Trimble County Plant.
Mr. Aldridge was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church and enjoyed being a trustee and song leader. He was also a member in the RSVP of Jefferson County. He enjoyed wood working, cabinet making and gardening.
Born September 19, 1950 in Madison, Mr. Aldridge was the son of Lawrence T., Sr. and Lena Mae Lyle Aldridge. He married Deborah C. Thompson on December 26, 1970 in Carroll County, Kentucky. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include sons, Danny (Rhonda) and Darren (Jennifer) Aldridge, all of Deputy; grandchildren, Andrew, Kristen and Spenser; and brother, Lawrence T. (Joyce) Aldridge of Deputy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
