Troy A. Hoffman, 51 enjoyed several hobbies
Troy A. Hoffman, 51, Madison, died Monday, October 21, 2013 at 7:01 a.m. in Madison.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Pastor Mike McArter officiating. Calling will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Hoffman was a 1980 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and attended the John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. He had worked for Silgan Plastics in Plainfield as a machine operator and was also self-employed with Hoffman Signs and Wood Working. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Madison. Mr. Hoffman enjoyed woodworking and art, all sports and especially the Colts, the outdoors, racing, the Madison Regatta and NASCAR.
Born December 18, 1961 in Madison, Mr. Hoffman was the son of Matthew J., Jr. and Lena Kruse Hoffman. He married Lori A. Smock and she survives.
Additional survivors include his mother; daughter, Hannah Noel Hoffman of Plainfield; son, Hunter William Hoffman of Plainfield; four brothers, William Terry and Matthew "Tim" (Harriet) Hoffman, all of Madison; Neal Thomas (Pam) Hoffman of Brownstown and John Theodore "Ted" (Bev) Hoffman of Greenwood and sister, Tracey (Victor) Boling of Mt. Washington, Kentucky.
Mr. Hoffman was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mark Anthony "Tony" Hoffman.
