Lawrence Greathouse performed gospel music
Lawrence Dwayne Greathouse, 60, of Seymour, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at his residence.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Joe Capplinger, assisted by John Perkins, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.
Mr. Greathouse worked for more than 20 years with L.P. Cavett as a flagman and later as a driver. He enjoyed playing and singing gospel music.
Born Sept. 13, 1953, in Jackson County, he was the son of Lawrence C. Greathouse and Geneva Wilmoth. On February 3, 1982, he married Tammy Carmer and she survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his mother of North Vernon; two sons, Charles (Heather Kellett) Greathouse and Steven (Kari Watters) Greathouse; sister, Sharon (Bufard) Fields; and four grandchildren, Alexis, Kaden, Makayla and Logan Greathouse.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother and his father.
