Marie R. Robbins, 92, of Greensburg died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Morning Breeze Health Care Center in Greensburg.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Glenn Black officiating. Burial followed at South Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Robbins was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and had graduated from Greensburg High School in 1939. She was a member of the Westport Wesleyan Church and had taught Sunday school at Mt. Aerie Baptist Church for many years and was very active in the church. Mrs. Robbins enjoyed gardening and crafts.
Born April 23, 1921 in Greensburg, Mrs. Robbins was the daughter of Albert H. and Mabel S. McGee Johnson. She married Earl C. Robbins in Greensburg on June 14, 1941 and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (Steve) Shelby of Fishers; grandsons, Robert (Annica) Cook of Indianapolis and Richard (Robin) Cook of Greensburg; great-grandchildren, Sarah Marie and Samuel Richard Cook of Greensburg.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by sons, Marvin, Willard, Harold and Larry Robbins and a sister, Mildred Ponsler.
