Leonard E. Nott a Cummins retiree
Leonard E. Nott, 78, of Madison died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Bro. Bob Hicks and Bro. Robby King officiating. Calling will be Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison.
Mr. Nott was a 1955 graduate of Dupont High School and employed for over 40 years with Cummins Engine Company working in the instrumentation and gauges department. He retired in 1996. He was a member of the North Madison Christian Church. Mr. Nott enjoyed his farm and raising cattle, playing cards, socializing with friends and family, his grandchildren, playing Bingo and traveling.
Born August 10, 1935 in Indianpaolis, Mr. Nott was the son of Theodore J. and Dorothy Mae Taylor Nott. He married Edith "Edie" Schindel on November 13, 1976 at the North Madison Christian Church. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2006.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy (Bobby) Ferguson of Madison; stepdaughter, Jackie (Phil) Baxter of Lexington; stepson, Phillip (Angie) Lobb of Madison; brother, Theodore (Shirley) Nott of Westport; sister, Norma Supplee of Louisville, Kentucky; gran-dchildren, Joshua White, Felicia Irvin, Sarah Jonas, Anna Baxter, Dylan Fergu-son and A.J. Lobb; great-grandson, Josh "Buddy" White and special friend, Charlene Goff of Vevay.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Nott was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Allen Nott.
