Lester Albert Enzinger, 84 to be interred at St. John's
Lester Albert William Enzinger, 84, of Columbus died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013, at The Covered Bridge Health Care Campus in Seymour.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church, White Creek, at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Ed Keinath officiating. Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel in Seymour from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, White Creek
Mr. Enzinger was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He graduated in 1947 from Columbus High School and after graduation he went to work for Cummins, Inc. where he retired after 39 years of service. Mr. Enzinger enjoyed fishing, bowling, woodworking and playing cards. He also enjoyed playing the piano and guitar for family and friends at gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren.
Born September 10, 1929, in Bartholomew County, Mr. Enzinger was the son of Otto and Matilda (Bode) Enzinger. On July 22, 1962, at St. John's Lutheran Church, White Creek, he married Shirley J. Harrell. She died October 14, 2012.
Survivors include his children, Luanne (Tim) Bryant, Rex (Kim) Enzinger and Nancy (Tom) Kitterman and grandchildren, Erin and Samantha Enzinger and Lance Kitterman.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Enzinger was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma Schroer Enzinger; brother, Milton Enzinger and sisters, Opal Enzinger Ordstadt Hoffmeier and Hulda Enzinger Eckelman.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to St. John's Building Fund.
