Patricia Anne "Pat" Wegenka Laskowski, 82

Patricia A. Laskowski grew up in South Bend

Patricia Anne "Pat" Wegenka Laskowski, 82, Madison, died Monday, September 30, 2013 at 1:30 a.m. at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Madison with Father Christopher Craig officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison. King's Daughters' Circle will conduct a memorial service Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and rosary will be prayed Thursday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Laskowski was a 1949 graduate of South Bend Central High School. She had been employed at the South Bend Community Schools as a secretary for 25 years and was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish in South Bend for many years. She had also worked at the Beta House at Hanover College as a cook and as a cook for Pope John Day Care. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Madison and served as treasurer of the King's Daughters' Dorcas Circle. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.

Born July 20, 1931 in South Bend, Mrs. Laskowski was the daughter of Walter and Blanche Napieralski Wegenka. She married Joseph Laskowski, Jr. on May 24, 1952 in South Bend. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1961.

Survivors include three sons, John (Alice) Laskowski of Bloomington, Michael (Jean) Laskowski of Madison and Daniel (Elizabeth) Laskowski of Carmel; sister, Mary Jane Fowler of Brewster, New York; two brothers, Chester (Marilyn) Wegenka of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Daniel (Arline) Wegenka of Watervliet, Michigan and 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Laskowski was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Laskowski; brothers, Robert, Walter and Frank Wegenka and sister, Rita Csenar.

Memorial contributions to the Pope John Day Care or the Lake County Florida Down Syndrome Association through the funeral home.
