Ronald Dale Ziehm, Sr. had family in the area
Ronald Dale Ziehm, Sr., 56, Clarksville died at 11:49 a.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital Emergency Room in Clarksville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday at Main Cross Independent Baptist Church in Charlestown with Pastor Charlie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Creek Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be from noon until the service at 2 p.m. at the church. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ziehm was raised in Charlestown and had worked at Metal Sales in New Albany. He was a member of the American Legion Post #335, VFW Post #1427 and Scott County Conservation Club, all in Charlestown. He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He enjoyed his family and watching TV.
Born on June 13, 1957 in Scottsburg, Mr. Ziehm was the son of Paul Edward and Norma Jean (Stone) Bussey. He married Sonja Louise Ross in Charlestown on April 15, 1982 and she preceded him in death on June 9, 2013.
Survivors include daughters, Debra (Jason) Young of Westport and Erin (Jose Arroyo Garcia) Arroyo of Clarksville; son, Ronald Dale Ziehm, Jr. of Charlestown; sisters, Sharon Ponce of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Kathy (Cecil) Pierce of Charlestown, Mary (Bill) Lesnet of Scottsburg and Janice Hughes of Kentucky; brothers, Todd (Cathy) Ziehm and Edward Bussey both of Charlestown, Bill (JoAnn) Williams of Louisville, Kentucky and Larry (Rose) Williams of Kentucky; grandchildren, Mario Ziehm and Emily Arroyo Garcia of Clarksville and Mikayla and Cheyenne Young, Westport.
Mr. Ziehm was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
