Mildred Maines, 93, was a homemaker in Jennings

Mildred Maines, 93, of Paris Crossing died at 11:47 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Virgil Barrett officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at the Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery in Paris Crossing.

Mrs. Maines was a homemaker and was a member of the Austin Baptist Temple in Austin. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and her flowers.

Born May 13, 1920 in Morgan County, Kentucky, Mrs. Maines was the daughter of Noah and Jettie Hatfield Barker. She married Donnie Maines on September 8, 1933 in West Liberty, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1996.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth (Mary) Maines of Mooresville; one daughter, Betty (Tom) King of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Beulah Ross of Commiskey; grandchildren, Donna (Steve) Cornish and Jeff (Trina) King, all of Louisville, Kentucky, Paula (Darren) Page of Jeffersonville, Angela (Adam) Smith of Charlestown, Donnie and Ronnie Maines, both of Mooresville, Christina Maines of Seymour; Mike (Julie) Young, Eugene Maines and Randy (Cathy) Bonesteel, all of Paris Crossing, Bonnie (Dennis) Brewer of Vallonia, Darlene (David) Jones of North Vernon and Brenda Higgins of Milton, Kentucky; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Maines was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Eugene Lee and Emery Maines; one daughter, Rella Young and one granddaughter, Dianne Proffitt.

Memorials through the funeral home to the Austin Baptist Temple.
