Dr. Carrol Lee Wade, 85, operated a dental office in downtown NV 43 years
Dr. Carrol Lee Wade, 85, of North Vernon died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Columbus.
Funeral services were Saturday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremations Services with the Rev. Bob Weeks officiating. Burial was in the Vernon Cemetery.
Dr. Wade owned and operated C.L. Wade Dentistry in North Vernon from 1956 until his retirement in December of 1999. He was a member of Delta Sig-Dental Fraternity and a former member of the Jennings County Health Department and the Lions Club. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945-1946. Dr. Wade enjoyed riding motorcycles, sports cars and flying airplanes.
Born on September 30, 1927 in Indianapolis, Dr. Wade was the son of Barnie and Lydia (Clark) Wade. He married Doris Anita Tucker on August 30, 1952 and she preceded him in death on February 2, 1988. He married Cheryl (Helton) Todorovich on January 11, 1992 at the First Christian Church in North Vernon. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Col. Douglas (Sun) Wade of Carmel, California, Geoffrey (Elise) Wade of Westfield and Clark (Arlene) Wade of Indianapolis; a stepson, Nicholas Todorovich of Whiteland; six grandchildren, Christopher Wade of Los Angeles, California, Alex, Bryan and Jacob Wade, all of Westfield and Alicia and Maya Todorovich, both of Whiteland.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Dr. Wade was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Wade.
