Carl Birge, 75, retired from Golden Foundry
Carl Thomas Birge, 75, of Elizabethtown died Thursday, August 29, 2013.
Funeral services were Saturday at McMurtrey Funeral Home in Summer Shade, Kentucky with Rev. Glen Poynter officiating. Burial followed at White Cemetery.
Mr. Birge retired from Golden Foundry after 43 years of service.
He was the son of Eddie Ray and Ruby Ellender Jackson Birge.
He is survived by one son, Terry (Lorie) Birge of Indiana; three daughters, Naomi (Tom) MacKeen of Florida, Ellen (Brad) Woodcock and Karen (Steve) Hendershot, both of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Raeanne Castor, Thomas Lipps, Ryan and Kristin Woodcock, Trey and Autumn Sanders and Zoie and Malorie Hendershot; one great-granddaughter, Raelyn Castor.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Birge was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Birge and one brother, Kenneth Birge.
