Marilyn A. Adams, 76, of North Vernon died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Don Buck officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Marble Corner Cemetery at Versailles.
Mrs. Adams was a former employee of the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center where she worked in Maintenance. She also had worked at North Vernon Walmart. Mrs. Adams attended the North Vernon First Baptist Church.
Born in Indianapolis on July 17, 1937, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of Clarence and Rhoda Baker Dilk. She married Grover Adams in 1978 and he preceded her in death on October 3, 1991.
Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Kelly of Indianapolis; sons, Wesley (Kelley) Roy of Cape Coral, Florida, Von (Tammy Stewart) Porter of Noblesville and Robert Porter of North Vernon; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Aldreda White) Dilk of North Vernon, William (Melba) Dilk of Indianapolis and Richard (Darlea) Dilk of Camby.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Jr. and Donald Dilk.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Marble Corner Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
