David 'Corky' Copeland liked being outside, fishing
David Clark "Corky" Copeland, 73, of Bedford, Kentucky and formerly of Canaan died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 2:10 p.m. at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Pastor Troy Hedges officiating. Visitation is Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 7 at 10 a.m. at Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky.
Mr. Copeland had worked at Reliance Electric for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Born November 14, 1939 in Moorefield, Mr. Copeland was the son of Steve and Agnes Graham Copeland. He married Linda Lou Edward and later married Madeline Carolyn Ayler.
Survivors include two sons, David (Dana) Copeland, Jr. of Bedford, Kentucky and James (Lee) Copeland of Kent; three daughters, Deborah (Delbert) of Madison, Shammara Copeland and LaDonna (Fred) McWhorter of New Albany; three sisters, Frances Robbins, Myrtle Smith and Wanda Ayler, all of Madison and three brothers, Robert Copeland of Versailles and George and Richard Copeland, both of Madison.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by brothers, Grover and Alva Copeland and sisters, Annabell Drake and Georgia Day.
