Thomas Richard Peetz had family in the area
Thomas Richard Peetz, 65, of Batesville died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at his home.
Funeral services were Wednesday, August 14, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon with burial following in the church cemetery.
Mr. Peetz was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He was an employee of Delta Faucet Greensburg for 37 years and had also worked at GE in Batesville and Baylor Trucking of Milan. Mr. Peetz was a past 10-year volunteer fireman for the Letts Fire Department and a past member of St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon. He had also attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg. His favorite hobbies were gardening and handyman work.
Born January 4, 1948 in Batesville, Mr. Peetz was the son of Milton Richard Peetz and Ethel Crowell Peetz Brunner. He married Patricia Ann Borgman Dec. 4, 1971, and she survives.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Borgman Peetz; sons, Richard Peetz of Greensburg and Steve Peetz of Westport; daughter, Claire Peetz of Batesville; brothers, James Milt (Ona) Peetz and John "Pink" Peetz of Napoleon; sisters, Susan (Rocky) White of Greensburg, Charlotte (Boyd) Vanover of Batesville; and his two grandchildren, Abe and Aaron Peetz.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Peetz was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry and Bob Peetz, Baby Charles Ronald, Danny Brunner, and one sister, Debra Sloan.
