Ottilie Maria "Margrett" Krause May, 82, of Hanover died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Hanover Health & Rehab Center in Hanover.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Pastor Don Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison. Calling will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. May was employed for 34 years with the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Vevay. She had enjoyed cooking at Ponderosa in Madison for five years. Mrs. May was a member of the Madison Assembly of God Church in Madison. She enjoyed membership in the Jefferson Post 9 American Legion Auxiliary, puzzles, word searches, walking and playing bingo.
Born April 5, 1931 in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany, Mrs. May was the daughter of Ferdinand Krause and Theresa Kasemeyer Krause. She married Everett George in 1954 and he died in 1963. She then married Russell F. May on June 28, 1969 at the Benham United Methodist Church. He died September 15, 2008.
Survivors include a son, Fred Richard George of Hanover; daughter, Lucia Linda Maria (Frank) Landry of Audubon, Pennsylvanis; grandchildren, Michelle Anderson, Donovon Landry, Amanda, Dylon and Hailey George and Adam Sirk and great-grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew, Crystal, Ciara, Hailey, Austin and Jason.
In addition to her parents and both husbands, Mrs. May was preceded in death by a brother, Agidius Krause.
