Eva Flint Eades, 81, spent most of her life in Canaan
Eva Flint Eades, 81, of Canaan died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 6:45 a.m. at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison.
Funeral services were Saturday at Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church near Canaan with Rev. Ed Roberts and Rev. Darrell James officiating. Burial was in Canaan Cemetery.
Mrs. Eades was a graduate of Ryker's Ridge in Jefferson County and spent most of her life in Canaan. She worked as a teacher's aide and cook at the former Canaan Elementary School retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church and had served on the pastoral relations committee for many years. She loved gospel music and being with her family.
Born November 13, 1931 in Jefferson County, Mrs. Eades was the daughter of Earl L. and Ruth Rea Flint. She married Robert Eades and he preceded her in death on August 25, 1997.
Survivors include daughters, Karen (Mark) Todd of Bedford, Kentucky and Linda (Larry) Daubenspeck of Rushville; grandchildren, Danny (Barbara) and Jimmy (Amanda) Harden, Michael (Ashley), Joseph and Sarah Daubenspeck, Mark Todd, Jr. and Kristen (Ray) Schreiner and great-grandchildren, Damon, William, McKinley, Keenan, Rylan, Roxie Jo, Mason and Lucas.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Eades was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Baker and a granddaughter, Laura Daubenspeck.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church or Canaan Cemetery Association through the funeral home.
