Marie Barnes, 89, was a Crothersville homemaker
Marie Barnes, 89, of Crothersville died Wednesday, July 3 at her home.
Funeral services were at Voss Chapel in Seymour Monday with Rev. Danny Jackson and Rev. Larry Arrowood officiating. Burial took place at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour with a dove release.
Mrs. Barnes was of the Apostolic Pentecostal faith. She was a homemaker.
Born February 15, 1924 in Beattyville, Kentucky, Mrs. Barnes was the daughter of Lee and Maggie Jewell. On August 29, 1941 in Brownstown she married Ralph Leon Barnes who died September 23, 1990.
Survivors include her children Dennis (Vickie) Barnes, Delores Bush, Janet (Richard) Nehrt and Joyce (Darrel) Colwell; grandchildren, Tammy (Chuck) Montana, Patrick Barnes, Lisa (Tom) Wiell, Mark (Amanda) Bush, Stephen (Robin) and Christopher McClain and Holly (Adam) Nicholson; great-grandchildren, Kyle (Stephanie) Montana, Ashley (Miguel) Victoriano, Bronson (Shay) Jackson, Isaiah Wiell, Shalayna, Bethany and Brianna Bush, Remington, Kenzie and Hunter McClain, Kristin Melloncamp and Beth Nicholson; great-great-grandchildren, Cassidy May, Chelsea May, Camilla Victoriano, Michael Jackson; sister, Cleda Alexander and a brother, Herschell (Delores) Jewell.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by sisters, Nazzie Brandenburg, Nettie Begley and brothers, Brown, Eugene, Kerney, Conley and James Jewell.
Memorials may be made to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, CBN 700 Club or donor's choice through the funeral home.
