Freda Fagin Rowlette Dice of S.D. was wife of minister
Freda Fagin Rowlette Dice, 95, of Rapid City, South Dakota died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Clarkson Healthcare.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 416 Vine St., Madison with the Rev. Brian Teater and the Rev. Dennis Bickers officiating. Friends may gather Wednesday at 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Interment will be at the Bedford I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky. Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dice graduated from high school in Dupont and attended Franklin College. She was a minister's wife (her husband had been minister at Wirt Baptist Church) and a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madison.
Born in Milton, Kentucky on February 28, 1918, Mrs. Dice was the daughter of Rev. Daniel Perry and Mary Lew Holderfield Rowlette. She married Rev. Merris Dice on June 22, 1938. He preceded her in death December 11, 2005.
Survivors include a son, M. Myron (Barbara) Dice of Pinehurst, North Carolina; daughters, Cheryl J. (Gary) Ard of Boise, Idaho and Carmen D. (Gordon) Abernathie of Rapid City, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Michelle, Andrew, Erin and Trevor; nine great-grandchildren, Anna Lucia, Nicholas, Natalia, Bethany, Tyler, Illy, Owen, Emma and Olivia.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dice was preceded in death by an infant sister.
