Peggy Prather, 67, was a leader in several clubs
Peggy Prather, 67, of Seymour died Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel in Seymour on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. James Rodriguez and Rev. Philip Bloch officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Ms. Prather was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. She was a nurse's aide for more than eight years and was the past president of the Republican Women's Club, Cub Scout Leader, the Singles Club and Jay "Shees" Club. Ms. Prather enjoyed listening to music, cooking, watching the food network channel and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Born September 4, 1945, in Hazard, Kentucky, Ms. Prather was the daughter of Eva Gean (Gay) Wilson.
Survivors include her children George M. Prather Jr. of North Vernon, Rev. Richard J. (Amber) Prather, Margaret Ann Prather Boston, Kenneth S. Prather (Debbie Mousa); a sister Ann Berniece (Wilbur Lee) Hoevener; grandchildren Brock and Brook Boston, Rachel (Luke) Eddins, Adrian R. Scott and Olivia A. Colwell; step- grandson, Michael A. LaPine; great-grandchildren, Isabella Boston, Reese Ava Eddins and Caeden Boston.
She was preceded in death by her mother; stepfather, John Wilson and former husband George Prather.
