Laura Scroggins retired from Muscatatuck SH
Mrs. Laura Ruth Kinnard Scroggins, 89, formerly of Madison died Monday, June 24, 2013 at Jennings Health Care Center.
The Rev. Ernest Lamb will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lytle Funeral Chapel in Madison. Interment will be in Bayless Cemetery.
Mrs. Scroggins retired from Muscatatuck State Hospital as an attendant supervisor and was a member of the Dupont Baptist Church.
Born April 6, 1924 in Jefferson County, Mrs. Scroggins was the daughter of Robert and Tressie Stearns Kidd.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice Brown of North Vernon; son, Donald Kinnard of Centerville, Ohio; five stepdaughters, Debbie Righthouse, Donna McClanahan, Pamela Mount Castleu, Janet Conley and Catherine Stanley; two stepsons, Larry and Wallace Scroggins; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scroggins was preceded in death by two husbands, George Kinnard and Wallace Scroggins; one son, Cecil Kinnard and one brother, Fred Kidd.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Bayless Cemetery Association through the funeral home.
