Marjorie Alexander, 84, attended Indiana University
Marjorie Alexander, 84, of Seymour died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Graveside services were at Riverview Cemetery Monday with Dr. Eugene Gladney officiating.
Mrs. Alexander was a graduate of Indiana University and a member of the National Honor Society and Pi Lambda Theta sorority. She retired in 1994 from Jackson Elementary School after 30 years of service. Mrs. Alexander was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Seymour, and enjoyed gardening, volunteer tutoring and playing bridge.
Born in Elmhurst, Illinois, in 1928, Mrs. Alexander was the daughter of George Gersham and Nellie Frances Stahl Graber. In June 1952, she married Dale Alexander, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1967.
Survivors include her children Laura Anne Alexander and Dale (Beth) Alexander III, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her brother Bill Graber; a sister Wilma Berman and a grandson Little Skip.
Memorials may be written to the First Presbyterian Church or the donor's choice.
