Wilma M. Pennywitt, 78, the mother of 5 daughters
Wilma M. Pennywitt, 78, of North Vernon died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements were made in care of Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.
Mrs. Pennywitt had previously been a supervisor at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. She enjoyed reading, cooking, bird watching, flower gardening and spending time with her family.
Born January 1, 1935, Mrs. Pennywitt was the daughter of Edward and Sara Terry Whitehead. She married James Pennywitt and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by four daughters, Robin Bragg of Paris Crossing, Tonya Hensley, Penny (Max) Williams and Brenda Spine, all of North Vernon.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Pennywitt was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Robbins; brother, James Whitehead; sister, Carol Wathen and son-in-law, Mark Bragg.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the family.
