Luella Mae Brown, 84, interred in Reddington
Luella Mae Brown, 84, of North Vernon died at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Seymour Crossing in Seymour.
In keeping with her family's wishes, private graveside services will be held in the Reddington Cemetery in Reddington. Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services handled the arrangements.
Ms. Brown worked for the Council on Aging in Clarksville and previously worked for Big Wheel Truck Stop-Mart in Versailles, U.S. Shoe in Osgood and Gerwin Shoe Company and Reliance Shirt Factory both in Seymour. She was a 1946 graduate of Hayden High School. Ms. Brown was a former member of Holton Christian Church in Holton and New Albany American Legion Auxiliary Post #0028. She was also a member of Reddington Christian Church in Reddington and Seymour American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
Born on June 19, 1928 in Yorkville, Illinois, Ms. Brown was the daughter of Garrie and Pauline Boner Spaulding.
Survivors include two brothers, Giles (Ellen) Spaulding of Reddington and Donald (Patty) Spaulding of Elizabethtown; sister, Helen (Paul) Ritchie of North Vernon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Angela Marie; a brother, Paul Robert Spaulding and two sisters, Irma Ruth Spauld-ing and Gertrud Berryman.
