Carol M. "Sis" Moore, 75, of Columbus died at 6:50 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home in Columbus with William Lykins officiating. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
Burial will be at Springer Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and did alterations at Dell Brothers for several years.
She served on the Elizabethtown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a former secretary for the Women's Bowling Association. She was a member of Columbus American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Moore's hobbies included ceramics, making jewelry, knitting and camping.
Born in North Vernon June 28 1937, Mrs. Moore was the daughter of Raymond and Marie Scherschligt Day. She married Jerry A. "Doc" Moore November 26, 1955.
Survivors include her husband; children, Dennis (Lisa) Moore of Elizabethtown, Timothy (Kelly) Moore of Taylorsville, Thomas (Teresa) Moore and Linda (Johnny) Bennett, both of Columbus; a sister, Tish Gosman (Larry Campbell) of North Vernon; brothers, Raymond Day of Crawfordsville, Jake Day of Columbus, Norman "Butch" (Joyce) Day and James (Peggy) Day, both of North Vernon, and Bernie (Linda) Day of Trafalgar; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents; sisters-in-law, Jessie and Judy Day; and a nephew, Doug Day.
